International "Wear Your Nametag Day" - First Monday in February
"Where in the World Are You?" Photo Contest
Every year Concordia Language Villages wants to know where in the world their villagers and staff members are and what they're doing now. Wear your Village nametag on the first Monday in February for "International Wear Your Nametag Day." Share your Village language and stories with everyone you meet. You may discover someone else in your neighborhood who has also attended the Villages.

Directions to the Art Shanty Project on Medicine Lake

Directions from Minneapolis

  • Take I-394 West to Highway 169 North.
  • Just past Hwy 55, take the Plymouth Ave / 13th Ave exit.
  • Continue straight over the railroad tracks.
  • Turn left at the first stop light onto 13th Ave and go under Highway 169.
  • Turn right at the next light onto the Frontage Road.
  • After four blocks or so, turn left onto 17th Ave N.
  • Drive into East Medicine Lake Park.


Free parking available at the east Medicine Lake parking lot and the Ryerson Steel lot right next to the lake. Walk out onto the ice or catch a free ride from an ArtCar Taxi!

Please do not drive onto Medicine Lake.
